Vision Statement

MSPC LogoThe Montrose County Suicide Prevention Coalition values every life and strives to create a healthy community untouched by suicide.  The Coalition hopes that by increasing knowledge of and access to existing options, treatment, and care, we can provide hope and actively engage all members of our community in an open discussion of suicide and suicide prevention.  Crucial steps in reaching this goal include

  • ~ Eliminating the stigma of suicide and talking about suicide
  • ~Promote multiple contacts for help within the community and beyond
  • ~Providing education and tools for family and friends
  • ~Getting involved and engaged with all members of our county before there is a crisis, thus building trust and networks of support.

Mission Statement

Montrose Suicide Prevention Coalition is committed to preventing suicide in Montrose.  The coalition exists to increase awareness of existing community resources and create an understanding of the issues surrounding suicide through the support of community outreach, education, and access to services.
